Thank you for responding! I did fill out the form and my doctor’s office sent it in. Im sure they are still working on it since I haven’t heard from them yet. One estimate I got from a pharmacy that called me was $6000 every 28 days. My supplemental insurance quoted me $2200. Do people pay these prices
Hello! I would follow up w your doctors office to make sure that it was sent out and it didn’t get misplaced.
Some patients can afford to pay, some cannot….
I hope that you get the support you need as soon as possible.

Hi Cicimac,
I took Arikayce a couple years ago. I was also very concerned about the price. Christina is correct that Insmed offers an Arikares program. I don't know what the current offer is, but when I took the medicine, they were very helpful and I was not left with a huge invoice. I suggest you call the Arikares program directly and explain your situation. Let us know what you find out.

Hi Cicimac,
I want to see how you are doing. Did you start the Arikayce? If not, have you and your doctor considered Clofazimine? It has worked for me.
hello,
I have never tried either Arikayce or Clofazimine, or heard of these meds. Are you taking it for Bronchiectasis? I have had this illness for about 7 years. I have been struggling for at least a year now with recurring flare-ups. I inhale Tobramycin as a preventive every three weeks and additional Levaquin when I have a flare-up, which now happens every one or two months. I am on top of mucus clearance in different ways, exercise and eat healthy. Still I get hit again and again. I am going to transfer to a new pulmonary Dr, but it takes time...
any feedback is so appreciated!
Maggie O,
Hello! Welcome to the site. These drugs are for NTM infections, not Bronchiectasis or recurrent respiratory infections. It sounds as if you are doing the right things . I am glad that you are following your gut and seeking a 2nd opinion elsewhere. Have you reviewed the materials , under resources in the menu above on the right side? K
