CPAP and humidification
Hi All. This question was placed in the activity feed by a community member, and I didn't want it to get missed. :)
What affect does the moisture settings on CPAP device have on bronchiectasis? Does anyone use a certain type of water to fill their CPAP humidifier? Do you worry that the humidifier could affect your bronchiectasis?

I do not use a CPAP. They recommend distilled water. Boiling water fir 10 minutes is highly recommended by Dr J Falkinham, a NTM microbiology expert.

I use bipap vent and I use distilled water in the humidity cup. It keeps he moisture in the lung so not dried out I was told by my RT that set up the machine.
