Caregiver supports
While it's not targeted specifically towards people with chronic illness, the AARP website has an excellent page full of caregiver resources. It includes helpful information on caregiver basics, physical and emotional health, financial and legal issues as finding balance for the caregiver. https://www.aarp.org/caregiving/?intcmp=GLBNAV-PL-...

Hi Kristen! I found a great resource for caregivers and their families. The Caregiver Action Network (CAN) offers education, peer support and a multitude of resources free of charge. They assist caregivers dealing with a variety of chronic illnesses. You can learn more by visiting their website: http://caregiveraction.org/about
If anyone else has helpful info about other caregiving support networks or resources, let us know!
Gretchen,
Great post. Caregiver support for some patients is so very important. Too often, the time and energy needed for caretaker assistance with daily activities of living may be overlooked by patients with invisible disorders. Caretakers do a lot more than one would expect for some patients who do not display visible signs of an illness.

I thought this page was helpful. It has a state-based resource listing. https://www.caregiver.org/family-care-navigator
For example, here is the information for DC: https://www.caregiver.org/state-list-views?field_s...
Kristen,
You are welcome. Thank you for posting the latest of the state by state resources. It is so beneficial for caretakers to utilize some of the resources out there.
