We have recently gotten a referral approved for out of state out of network specialist. Was curious if anyone had any experience with Dr. Charles Daley at Nation Jewish Health Facility in Colorado?

Hello! National Jewish is a great hospital. Does Dr.Daley evaluate children? I thought that he just sees adult patients

I really hope not because we had to jump through hoops to get this referral. We were told he sees pediatrics? I am going to bawl if this is another dead end.

A word make sure if your going that they have your schedule ready. We drove from ND daughter and me SD all that way to have them tell me they lost my schedule. They did one thing a day and by Friday wanted us to stay into the next week. We had to leave the weekend. This was 2003 I saw sally Wenzel which she is now at Pa. Good luck if you go to Jewish!!

Luckily I was able to speak with, let's call him our guardian angel, on Sunday. He directly emailed Dr. Daley personally on my daughter's behalf, and Dr. Daley is expecting our call this morning. It is because of this forum right here that makes a world of difference in navigating our baby girl's health!!! I am blessed and very very grateful to the wonderful people who started this forum, and to a PA I spoke to at NIH who suggested I join this site! These small, yet huge, gains reminds me that humanity and selflessness is not dead! It really does take a " Village" sometimes and I am proud to be a part of this "Village"

It's so great to hear that we're able to help you with baby Sailor's health "adventures" :o) Dr. Daley was the Chair of our Bronchiectasis Research Consortium for several years and he's a leading expert in both, bronchiectasis and NTM. I'm not sure if he sees pediatric patients, but it sounds like you're in the process of determining that. Keep us posted!
