Does anyone know if hiking or camping are activities that are ok to do?
I was wondering, with environmental exposure to NTMs, aspergillus, etc., has anyone heard anything from doctors or other experts on whether hiking or camping are ok to do? Trying to get an idea if these activities are ok or not, if they should be avoided, or if they are ok if a mask is worn. My family enjoys these activities, & when I feel ok I am wondering if it is ok for me to participate. Thank you!

Bren,
Hello! We cannot live in a bubble for the rest of our lives- we must continue to enjoy the activities that we are fond of while taking precautions.
I would recommend staying away from Firepits since these can be a lung irritant. I would also boil water for 10 minutes and bring your own water supply with you.
I would stay away from stagnant water.
NTM is everywhere- taking any steps to reduce your exposure is a gift to yourself.
Bren,
Below is a blog article on Summer Precautions:

Hi BrenB. I'm a hiker--not a camper-- I'm not qualified to give you advice but I have no trouble with hiking. I would be careful around a campfire I think. Good luck and be careful!✌️
