Kellis,
Yes, this respiratory disorder affects patients in varying degrees. I am greatly impacted by humidity, heat, sudden weather changes
My daughter has great difficulty with heat, humidity, poor air quality, allergens, dust. I have to keep our filters changed every 2 weeks. I vacuum several times a day. We also have to keep her in a climate controlled area as much as possible, any temp over 80 and she starts to have difficulty. It causes her and the entire family to have increased anxiety, depression and feelings of social isolation.
Hello! Yes, such restrictions can cause major frustration for all involved. Being indoors a lot while the " world" is outdoors is challenging. Monitoring and identifying the triggers, avoiding infections is the best bet.
Over time, some learn to adapt to the required changes. Finding diversional activities while at home assists one. Acceptance of any chronic issue takes a long time.
Seeking support from others is so important through these challenges
Humidity and dew points along with the weather changes is a trigger and so hard for us to deal day to day with. Seems its cooled off in SD for now the air seems crisper and clear was in 50's this morning.

Hi kellis!
One of the things I do is ordering a lot more stuff online instead of going to the store. I order nearly everything from groceries to household supplies like tissues and toothpaste. Pet food too! It keeps me away from sick people in stores--especially in winter.
