Has anyone tried Buteyko?
The main idea behind controlling your breathing with Buteyko is that many people over-breath. I have found some success with this for Bronchiectasis. It take lots of practice, but it seems harmless and it's free.

Hi redhead! Im the past, I heard about butekyo from other bronchiectasis online forum. I am currently doing pursed lip breathing.
I don't know about this has run around the groups more for asthmatics. I thought surely not for copd. I have never heard of it used for bronchiectasis. If you look it up not seeing much on it.
Hi there. I have just started experimenting with Buteyko at a very basic level. Before I began my nose was basically always blocked up. It has only been a week and already both nostrils are mostly unblocked and I am breathing out my nose the majority of the time. I am going to keep going and try and get my control pause up. In the begining I couldnt hold my breathe for more than 10 seconds without panicking. I have already got my max up to nearly a minute. If anyone knows a good Buteyko course or book then give me a yell. As I will no doubt want to try more advanced exercises at some point. m
I know Mark Mangus said it was more for asthmatics not copd. I lost the info with my other computer he good at giving out great info.
