It is important to use vitamins and mineral supplements correctly. I bought a book that was sold for this. I just finished reading it. I am currently taking Omega-3, magnesium and a multivitamin. I take these every day. If I feel like I'm going to be sick, I take my vitamin C in the Easter formula.
I'm thinking of taking extra vitamin D. But it should be taken as D3K2. I know that vitamin D synthesis is not very useful without vitamin K2. I will check the link.
