I have heard mixed reviews on this subject. I don’t think that there is an scientific proof of its effectiveness.
I have never tried it.
Howdy Sher, I purchased a Himalayan Salt Inhaler several years ago and did not adhere to recommended usage. I wish I had because I would have been able to provide more helpful feedback.
Good luck, Sher, I hope it's beneficial. Nebulizing hypertonic saline - salt water, basically - is more widely studied, Cheaper too, I reckon.

Hello Sher, I am not familiar with salt therapy, but as a rule, it is a good idea to be cautious when using any treatment that isn't recommended by your health care provider. Did you ask their opinion before trying it?
Hello! Below is a review on Salt Rooms, from the Cleveland Clinic: https://health.clevelandclinic.org/salt-cave-benefits
I know that nebulizing saline is supposed to help with sputum. I have mac and normally have no mucus. I did cough up sputum a couple of times in 5 months from nebulizing 3percent.
Cookie,
Hello! Welcome to the site. Do you nebulize regularly with 3% saline?
