I feel like Crap !

I'm supposed to fly from SC to Denver on 12/20 for a week.

My ritual is to go to bed around 10PM. As soon as I lay down I cough up phlem for a few minutes and then I can sleep for a while-usually.

Then up at 7 and do my inhalers

Then yogurt and coffee.

At noon after lunch, I lay down and cough up more phlem and then sleep for an hour or two.

Then I get up and have a beer around 3. At 4 I have a bourbon and then one more.

I feel a little better-but not much.

I'm really worried about going to Denver in this condition!

Is this the best I can hope for??

Have you talked to your dr about flying? If your on o2 you have to contact the airlines your flying on and sometimes need a drs slip. The airplanes been noted to be very germy so I would wear a mask and take anti bacterial along.

I don't use oxygen at this time. Not sure how Denver will affect me nor is my doctor. I guess I'll find out. I have some valium that I use for muscle crams and figured I'd take one of those before I fly so maybe it will keep my coughing to a minimum.
Thanks for the feedback.

Hello Sut,

Welcome to the site. I agree wholeheartedly with Kandy re: wearing a mask, using antibacterial gels. Also, take extra vitamin C or Emergencees .

Do you sleep with the head of the bed elevated?30 degrees? Multiple pillows? Do you take mucinex?

Thanks, Ftiends. Yes. I do all these things, yet still feel horrible when I first wake up. It's almost unbearable

Emcee,

Yes, the fatigue and just not feeling well are very difficult to deal with.

What point are you with medications? When did u see your doctor last

Many of us have been in your shoes and have made it to the other side.
