I'm new to this community...learning about ntm
My 30 year daughter has had a positive acid stain test. The culture is now growing to determine the species. She's had asthma since she was 2 years old. She's a newly graduated pharmacist and is so scared. I really don't know what to expect next ..?

Welcome to the site! My heart goes out to you. My daughter has a different chronic disorder and I know how challenging it can be to care for a child who means the world to you.
To start- have you read Insight- A Patient's Guide?
Also, NTM Facts. Com for factual information.
The path varies Dependent upon the type of NTM , pre- existing conditions and a few other factors. Some patients do very well and do not get re- current infections. Others , experience a more challenging path. Please write any specific questions agter reviewing the other materials. I wish you and your daughter the very , very best!
