Hi Cho,
I’m sorry the cepacia is still showing up . Mine would hide and show up every few months until I started submitting monthly sputum samples . The vest has helped a lot .
I was on minicycline ( so sick from it ) and Bactrim every time this would show up . I was also taking a drug called darzalex in a clinical trial for smoldering multiple myeloma , which predisposed me to infections .
Never had lung infections before this drug and have been off of it for over a year . That helped too.
Do you know of a William Hunt , MD at Emory ?
Wishing you completer eradication of that bug and where are the darn phages ?

Hi Cho
I just made an appt with Dr Swenson in October . We should be there by then . Dr. Hunt only treats CF patients .
I hated bactrim - don’t remember the dose but I had to take zofran for nausea . Same with minocycline and Vantin. I despise antibiotics .
Do you like Dr. Swenson ?
Prayers for your feeling better .

I am glad there have been so much advances in CF , but what about our suffering
The good news Storyteller, is that the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is pouring millions of dollars into NTM and bronchiectasis research because these are common side effects of CF. As they learn more, we will benefit as well.
Yes, great news! More funding for NTM/ research.
