Before was just doing brovana but now I do that after the vest followed by spiriva then budesonide and Flovent is my schedule. Yup alot of meds.

Hi thanks for input...in the interim, I have started to use the vest daily, preceded by neb with saline...and low and behold, it is helping! I made some modifications( with duck tape)  to the vest and now increasing days between infections! Now over 100 ( knocking on wood)

@Gladys how long do you do the vest and do you do it once or twice a day?

Hi Jenny,
I use it once a day, 10 min each on percussion, vibration and drainage. Figured out how to save the settings, so am mobile and can putter while its on.
I liken it to a life preserver, since thats they way its put on and it really is! "Her" name is Thumper 😁
Pulmonary hygiene (alias pulmonary toilet) is the key for keeping secretions moving and preventing pneumonia.  Now has been 4 months (knocking wood) which is huge improvement from last year when I had pneumonia every 6 weeks!

I have bronchiectasis, copd and severe asthma.  I use my vest at the same time that I use a nebulizer for Hyper Sal twice a day.  Does the vest help you?

Glenys,

The vest certainly helped me when I needed it in the past. I couldn’t do the vest and nebulizer at the same time. I used to check emails or read something while I was doing the vest. We are glad that you are back in our community.
