Traveling to Greece
I will be travelling to Greece this summer and will be purchasing a travel nebulizer. What nebulizer do you recommend? I also will not be able to disinfect my nebulizer cups and I read somewhere there are disposable cups. Anyone have any experience with this? Any tips on international travel would be appreciated.

I have a Devilbiss Traveler nebulizer that works well. It puts out a strong stream, and the battery lasts for about three treatments before it needs to be recharged. Fairly small and light. Happy travels!

Good morning, Dakota13!
It is so exciting that you're traveling to Greece! I have heard wonderful things about the Pari Trek S portable nebulizer, which you can use with the Pari cups if you use TOBI. It has a one-hour battery life. For cleaning, I'm a fan of using baby bottle sterilizers. There are several that you put in the microwave and that travel well.
Have a wonderful trip!!
Hi Dakota13,
I have been taking my regular nebulizer and supplies on trips. As long as you pack it in a separate bag, it travels free as medical supplies. It is best to have a copy of your doctor's prescription with you. Keep in mind that Greece uses 240 volts, so you can't plug things directly into their outlets. I bought a voltage converter. You could include that in your medical supplies bag as well. If you are on a cruise ship, it usually has 120 volt (American style) outlets. I don't have a magical answer for disinfecting. I just wash the cup in the hottest water I can find. In Europe, wide mouth hot water kettles are very common, so you can drop your supplies in the kettle and boil them, or pour the boiling water over your supplies. Have a great trip!
Hi Dakota13, I'd also like to add that we have a Guide in our downloads library that is all About traveling with COPD and other chronic lung conditions. It answers many questions about traveling with medical equipment and how to plan ahead for your trip. It might be helpful to you. You can find it here: COPDF.co/education -materials
Have a wonderful time in Greece! That's a place I've always wanted to go! I'd love to see some pictures when you come back!
