How much vitamin D are you taking on a regular basis? Most of us have a low level to begin with. A level lower than 20 is considered to be deficient.
50,000 units of D2 is recommended once a week for 8-12 weeks, then levels are rechecked. Maintenance levels of D3 are in the 4,000 u daily. Again, it is based on your current level.
Please discuss the details with your health care professional. We have all learned of the great importance of Vitamin D from the pandemic.

This is a great reminder, Ksmiles! Our bodies also do a better job of absorbing Vitamin D when we have the right amounts of Magnesium and Zinc in our bodies. It can seem challenging to keep all of this in balance, but your health care team can help.

Stephanie ,

Yes, zinc and magnesium are also so important. All these supplements are available in your local grocery or pharmacy and are sold at a reasonable cost.

I take 5000 iu's, 4 or 5 days per week. Whenever my levels are tested I'm usually a little bit low.

Yes, low vitamin D levels are a commonality that most of us share. Liquid vitamin D are more easily tolerated for some patients who have gut and or bladder issues.
Every vitamin and or supplement should be introduced into your body at lower levels and gradually be increased.
