What are the Big Three Antibiotics
I have read several comments where the writer mentions the Big 3. What are they? My doctor only prescribes Levofloxacin and a steriod when I have an infection.

Hello! The big 3 refer to Rifampin, Zithromax and Ethambutol used for NTM-MAC infections. These are not used for regular, common respiratory tract infections.
Hi Rush,
Zithromax is a brand name for Azithromycin, which is an antibiotic in the macrolide class. Clarithromycin is sometimes used as a substitute for Azithromycin.

This was a great question @Rush. We talk about this topic a lot during the coffee breaks. I'm glad you asked!
