Safe beverages for NTM patients when ordering in restaurants or on plane
Hello! I now bring a bottle of water in my big pocketbook in case a restaurant doesn’t sell bottled water. I just explain that I cannot have tap water due to a medical issue; don’t have to go into detail.
I was able to get a bottle of water on recent flights; do not know what airlines provide bottled water or not. I do not fly frequently these days. Perhaps, juice is a substitute if you can have the sugar
Thank you for your response. I appreciate your suggestions.
Do you drink regular bottled water? It was suggested by my physician to drink only natural spring water or boiled water. Is this what most NTM patients do?
I have just been diagnosed and am still unsure of many things. Is there a safe beverage to order at a restaurant or on a plane if you do not have your water with you? Thanks.
once thru security i buy bottled spring wate
Thank you. I have never bought beverages then and did not realize I could purchase them after security check in.
Any suggestions for beverages if you accidentally get caught in a restaurant without your bottled water and spring water is not available at the restaurant. Working hard to not let this happen but accidentally forget or have change of plans I wasn’t expecting. Is plain bottled water ok. I assume it is not from what my doctor said.
Thank you
Spring water is recommended.
Hot boiling water is the next safest option or just order a different type of beverage. I stay away from tap water
