National Caregiver Month aims to raise awareness, educate communities, connect caregivers to resources, and honor their dedication. This month focuses on improving access to resources and strengthening caregiver networks. It highlights caregivers’ contributions, challenges, and need for support.

πŸ’™ Caregivers Need Care, Too! πŸ’™

Behind many people living with BNTM is a caregiver who provides love, encouragement, and support through the challenges of chronic illness. Whether you are a spouse, family member, friend, or someone who helps manage their care, your role is important. From attending appointments and helping with airway clearance routines to offering a listening ear, your support makes a difference.

But remember: You cannot pour from an empty cup. A few reminders for caregivers:

πŸ’™ Take time for yourself without feeling guilty.

πŸ’™ Ask for help when you need it.

πŸ’™ Connect with other caregivers who understand your journey.

πŸ’™ Make time for activities that bring you joy.

πŸ’™ Remember that your emotional and physical health matter, too.

Caregiving can be rewarding, but it can also be exhausting. It is okay to feel overwhelmed, to need a break, and to ask for support. To our BNTM caregivers: Thank you for the compassion, patience, and dedication you bring to every day. You are an essential part of the care team, and you deserve care and understanding, too. Let's support the caregivers who support our BNTM community!

Caregivers: What helps you recharge or feel supported?
