Biologics as a treatment for Bronchiectasis related to IBD

I have Bronchiectasis due to Ulcerative Colitis(IBD). I am considering using a biologic agent (Stalera, Remicade, etc) as a possible treatment for the IBD/Bronchiectasis. I am curious if anyone on this board has IBD as a cause of their Bronchiectasis, and if they have considered biologics as a treatment option? thanks in advance

Lrapko,

Hello! Welcome to the site. It will be interesting to see how members respond to your question. Many patients have occasional gastrointestinal upset but have not been diagnosed with IBD. I feel that many patients have an endoscopy for reflux ismore frequently than a complete GI work up.

@Kandy
I am new to this site and learning to navigate. My pulmo wants me to use Nucala as I have allergic asthma and high eosinophils also. What has been your experience using Fasenra? Thanks

Did u know there is a xolair nucala fb support group very good info and others experiences.  It has all the biologics listed.  I been on faserna a year and truthfully I do not feel its done anything. I told my allergist I want to stop it but he insists I keep on with it.  Xolair been on since 2003.  For me I have 4 lung diseases and Fev 1 of 28 been on o2 23 yrs. My lungs are bad.  My pulmo has me on zpak 3 times a week to control infections and helps inflammation too.
