Having to stop treatment due to tachycardia
I started MAC treatment in March but I had to stop in June due to tachycardia. Now I'm waiting for my pulmonologist to come up w a new treatment plan. I've been off treatment for a week now. I'm worried about not being on treatment.

Julie Ann,
I hope that your Pulmonologist will come up with a better treatment plan for you. When is your next appointment?
Not till August..
Julie Ann,
I am sorry to read of the long delay in your treatment plan.
A suggestion- call the office manager on Monday , explain the situation, your current symptoms, the impact on your daily life, etc. I hope that they can push up your appointment.
Julie Ann,
Does your doctor have a patient portal? Some doctors read the messages themselves, some do not. This is a good way to get a detailed message directly to your doctor.
I understand how challenging the waiting period is like, dealing with uncertainty. I sincerely hope that you can push up the appointment.
My pulmonologist call me today and wants me to take my rifampin and ethambutol this week to rule out the azithromycin for the tachycardia events. So I'm hopeful we can figure something out. Thanks for the support and giving positive feedback.
You are most welcome. I am so glad to read that your doctor communicated with you today and a new plan is in place. Please keep us posted.
